Let’s just say that of the three matches, only one player won (ehem, ehem). The other two settled for a take-home. I’ve been meaning to try Ma Chicken Mami House ever since I saw an article about them on Yahoo! News. And I thought, what better way to eat a noodle broth than on a rainy weekend night? Ok, it wasn’t rainy… it rained when we left the house. And eating the mami wasn’t particularly uplifting because we shared the open restaurant with movie-goers and other casual diners. Still, no one can go wrong with this:

Ma’s Binondo Mami, the specialty of the house with beef, chicken, and siomai toppings

Firm noodles. Tender meat. Savory soup (the exact term would be malinamnam). The prices of the dishes aren’t student-friendly, but they are way more affordable AND delicious to boot!

Black Gulaman with Sago, pretty large for Php73

Siopao bola-bola, the tastiest of the bunch according to mama

Again, that’s Ma Chicken Mami House. This is their Facebook page. Their menu is meager, but I’m pretty convinced they’re all good too. I’m not quite done with the restaurant yet anyway!
