I’m beginning to fully understand Lazaro’s fate. Now I know I should NEVER a) leave the strings taut, b) leave the neck unsupported (although Lazaro was an exception because of the metal rod running along the fingerboard that was supposed to strengthen the integrity of the wood!) or store my guitar with the fingerboard supporting the weight, and c) stop or indefinitely pause playing. The more you use an item, the better it performs. I’d rather wear these things down with use than leave them to deteriorate from neglect.
